Over the next few months, the Membership Committee will be thinking about ways to enhance the visibility of Park Church in our community. There is something special about our Park Church family whether we can label it or not, and the Membership Committee intends to find creative ways to communicate this to others. We at Park Church are a group of people who like to come together, do things, have fun, and grow ourselves healthfully and spiritually in the presence of one another.
We are looking for your ideas and talents!
If you are interested in contributing to the future efforts of the Membership Committe in this area, please contact Seth Burgess so that we can find a way to collaborate--whether it be at scheduled meetings, as part of an e-mail group, in discussion on ParkChurchNet, or something else.

50 + Membership
At Park Church we are blessed to have a number of members who have been committed to our church family for the long-haul. Coming up in June, we will be celebrating those folks who have been members of Park Presbyterian Church for 50 years or more. Wow--50 years!
In our increasingly distracted world, the idea of 50 years tied to any one thing seems to be moving further and further out of reach. Living in one place, employment, marriage, organizational membership--all of these aspects of life are becoming fragmented and trendy in today's nomadic culture. So when we know someone who has remained connected to a single church family for half a century--Wow--these are examples of steady, loving, and "priceless" presences in our community whom we must consider with wondrous eyes and appreciative hearts.
Someday, I hope that my situation in life and the many, many, everyday distractions to overcome lead to a point in time where I too can celebrate the evidence of many years of enduring membership and involvement in the life of Park Church. Park Presbyterian Church is OUR church; our own brand of Faith community has been built, maintained, and enlivened by the members whose names and faces define it. Thank you to all those who have spent much time and energy in the life of Park Church, and for sharing your heart and talents with us.
